A fair start to Tuesday over most of England and Wal;es as well as much of Ireland. There will be sunny spells, these lasting into the afternoon with dry conditions too. Breezier weather in Scotland where there will be more cloud. The cloud is likely to be producing some spots of drizzle over the coasts of northern and western Scotland, otherwise conditions are dry. The best sunshine during today will be in eastern parts of England. Highs at 12C in northwest Scotland, 17C in southeast England.

Wednesday Night
Cloud and outbreaks of patchy rain in northern and western Scotland tonight. Staying breezy here too. Elsewhere it will be dry with broken cloud, most in the west. eastern and southern areas will have clearer skies during the night. Lighter winds in England and Wales as well as southern Ireland. Lows near 4 to 8C.
 

Thursday
Staying cloudy in Scotland and the north and west of Scotland bringing spells of showery rain. Most rain in northwest Scotland. Drier for the rest of England, Wales, Ireland and southern Scotland. Good spells of sunshine after morning mist patches clear from England and Wales. Temperatures at 8C in northern Scotland, 14C in southern England as cooler air spreads south.

Low pressure to the east on Friday with high pressure to the west. Cold air sweeps south through all areas together with a cold front clearing the far south of England. The front brings some patchy outbreaks of rain with it. Brighter weather follows behind the front. There will be showers, some heavy and prolonged around western, northern and eastern casts and hills. The showers turning increasing wintry on hills of Scotland and eventually northern England. A significant wind chill. Highs at 6C in northern Scotland, 11C in southern England.
