Shower risk for some
Warm in west

Thursday
High pressure is the main weather feature on Thursday with plenty of dry weather and sunshine for some, however, there is a risk of developing showers across southwest England, Wales and parts of Ireland. Stubborn low cloud and mist again in the morning for many northern and eastern areas with the risk for possible light rain/drizzle along some eastern English coasts. Highs at a muggy 22 to 26C across western areas but cooler further east in the cloud.

Thursday Night
Shower risk in the southwest is expected to fizzle out overnight. There is a risk of one or two showers pushing in onto some eastern coasts of England. Elsewhere, it should be dry with clear spells, although some cloud pushing in onto eastern areas once again later on. Lows at 8 to 14C.

Friday
On Friday high pressure brings a largely dry and fine day for many although with a risk of some showers, a few could be heavy. Meanwhile, low pressure out in the Atlantic indicates the start of change as we head into the weekend. During the afternoon cloud cover will increase across Ireland and southwest England bringing rain later on for southwest Ireland. A warm and muggy day with highs at 21 to 27C.

Saturday
With low pressure to the west of Ireland on Saturday, rain will track northwards up Ireland and the southern parts of the UK, perhaps fizzle out before northern England and Scotland. Across the north, sunny spells and showers are expected, best of the drier weather furthest east. Showers will replace the rain further south and southwest. Highs at 16 to 22C yet feeling muggy.
