A weak system runs down England and Wales on Sunday, bringing outbreaks of patchy rain to these parts. Some showers and sunny spells across Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland in the morning but these showers largely fizzling out through the afternoon as high pressure ridges in. Highs at 14C in northern Scotland, 20C in southeast England.
 


Sunday Night
A cloudy night for northern and western areas as fronts approach from the Atlantic. Outbreaks of rain spread into Northern Ireland as well as across much of Ireland, with the exception of the far south, and western and northern Scotland. Staying dry elsewhere for England, Wales and eastern Scotland but increasingly cloudy here through the night. The best of any clear skies to the southeast. Overnight lows at 8 to 13C.


Monday
A ridge of high pressure through southern Ireland, England and Wales will give dry weather here with good spells of sunshine. Cloud in northern and western Ireland, Northern Ireland as well as Scotland where there will be rain to the north and west. This may edge into northwest England and north Wales later. Strengthening winds across northern Scotland too. Highs at 16C in northern Scotland, 22C in southern England.


Tuesday
Cloudy to the north and west as patchy rain spreads from west to east across Scotland, Northern Ireland, Ireland, northern England and into Wales. Brisk winds for the far north and west of Scotland too. Dry with the best of the sunshine further south and east. A mild day for most with highs at 23 or 24C in southern England, highs ranging from 17 to 21C widely with exception to northern Scotland where highs reach 13 or 14C.
