Plenty of sunshine and dry weather across England, Wales and Ireland this morning. More cloud for the north and west of Scotland with the risk of some patchy drizzle and light rain here. Little change is expected this afternoon wit more sunshine for many, the best through England and Wales, although some patchy cloud is likely to be developing. Thicker cloud i northern and western Ireland bringing some patchy rain and drizzle here. Highs at 7 to 11C.

Wednesday night
A dry night ahead with some clear skies and broken cloud. There will be some mist and fog patches by the morning in more sheltered parts of England, Wales and Ireland. Breezier in northern and western Scotland with the risk of some outbreaks of rain and drizzle here. Lows at 1 to 5C in England, Wales and Ireland, nearer 8C in northern Scotland.
 

Thursday
High pressure is over the UK and Ireland on Thursday. There may be some morning mist and fog patches in England, Wales and Ireland. These will be clearing to leave lots of sunshine and dry weather. Some cloud will be affecting northern and western parts of Scotland and this could just be thick enough to produce a spot of drizzle. Southern Scotland will also have some broken cloud and mostly dry conditions. Eastern Scotland will be brighter with sunny spells. Highs at 9 to 12C.

Friday
High pressure builds a ridge into Ireland and the UK on Friday. This brings a cool morning with plenty of sunshine and mostly dry weather. More cloud in northern and western Scotland as well as the west of Ireland. Elsewhere it remains dry throughout with long periods of sunshine. There is a low risk of some drizzle drifting onto the coasts of northwest Scotland towards the evening. Highs at 8 to 10C.
