A mild west to southwest flow affecting the UK and Ireland today. This brings plenty of cloud, most affecting western coasts and hills where there will also be some outbreaks of rain and patchy drizzle. Rain at first in northeast Scotland will be clearing away by the afternoon. eastern Scotland is then dry, although drizzle in the west. This afternoon sees further cloud and some drizzle affecting western hills again, whilst the east is likely to be drier with some bright spells breaking through the cloud. Highs at 21C in southeast England, 14C in western Scotland.

Wednesday Night
Western coasts and hills seeing plenty of cloud and some drizzle at times. A breezy night in Scotland and Northern Ireland. Drier away from those western coasts and hills, some clear spells breaking through the cloud. Lows at 8 to 12C.

 
 
 

Thursday
Low pressure north of Scotland with high pressure to the south of England and a resulting southwest flow affecting all areas. Fronts will be bringing some periods of rain to Scotland and Ireland, patchier periods of rain in northern England and much of Ireland. Western coasts of Wales and southwest England may have some low cloud and spots of drizzle. Away from these western coasts it will be drier with sunny spells and feeling very warm too. Highs at 23C in the sunshine in southeast England, colder in Scotland though with tops of 11C in northern Scotland.

Lower pressure edging into the UK and Ireland on Friday. This brings some cloud and outbreaks of rain and drizzle, most in northern England, wales and Ireland. Warm in southern and southeast England with broken cloud and some sunny spells here. Cooler in Scotland, northern and western Ireland with sunny spells and dry weather, although some showers in northwest Scotland. Tops near 23C in southeast England, 9C in northern Scotland.
