Holiday Monday
Morning cloud and some showers across southeast England and East Anglia, but these gradually clearing. A few showers in western Scotland and western Ireland as well as along the coasts of northeast England. For most it will be a bright start to the day with broken cloud and some sunshine. This afternoon stays fair for most with plenty of sunny spells. The showers continue in western Scotland and western Ireland, an odd one clipping the coasts of southeast England. Generally though it stays dry. A cool day with highs at 4 to 8C.

Monday Night
A dry night for most with clear skies at first. Cloud increasing from the west during the night and becoming wet and windy through Ireland. Rain reaching western Scotland in the early hours and then west Wales and southwest England by daybreak. Winds picking up in western areas of the UK too. Lows near 0 to 3C, but then increasing from the west later in the night.
 

Tuesday
An unsettled and often wet day for Tuesday. Fronts passing eastwards taking cloud and bands of rain with them. The rain may ease over Scotland and northern England for a time, always lots of cloud here. Elsewhere, thicker cloud and more rain arrives through Ireland in the morning, then through England and Wales in the afternoon, the rain then pushing through northern England and Scotland. Some of this becoming heavy as the winds increase to become gale force. Highs at 11C in southern England, 4C in northern Scotland.

Wednesday
Low pressure north of Scotland on Wednesday. A front through southern England brings cloud and rain here, most of it in the southeast and this could be heavy at times. Severe gales in northern Scotland with rain. Showers affecting Ireland with fewer showers in western areas of England, Wales and Scotland. Some bright or sunny spells developing for many away from the showers. Breezy with highs at 7 to 12C.
