Windy Friday

Thursday
Morning rain in East Anglia and southeast England at first on Thursday morning. This clears eastwards with brighter weather following. Most of the rest of the UK and Ireland will have sunny spells and a scattering of showers. The showers would be generally light although an odd heavy one could occur. More persistent and heavier showers affecting the west of Ireland and western Scotland. Increasingly windy in Ireland, Wales and southwest England. Highs at 15 to 19C in the north and west, as high as 25C in southeast England.


Thursday Night
A band of heavier showers may clip southeastern England overnight and this could be thundery. Breezy with showers across all of the UK and Ireland. Showers affecting western coasts of Wales as well as much of Ireland. An area of heavier showers in northwest England and across most of Scotland as well as Northern Ireland. Lows near 10 to 14C.
 


Friday
An area of low pressure is expected to be centred to the northeast of Scotland on Friday. This brings a windy day to all parts of the UK and Ireland. Bands of showers, some heavy, passing through Ireland, northern England and Scotland. Scattered showers elsewhere with sunny spells in-between, the best of the sunshine to the east and south. Highs at 16 to 22C.
 


Saturday
Low pressure stays to the northeast of Scotland on Saturday. This takes some morning rain with it through the far northeast of Scotland, followed by sunshine and showers. The showers heaviest in northern and western Scotland, with some affecting northwest England and the north and west of Ireland. More eastern and southern areas tending to be drier with sunny spells and just a chance of an isolated shower. Highs at 15C in northern Scotland, 20C in southeast England.
