Thursday
Some showery bursts of rain across eastern England this morning, with the risk of some heavier rain in northeast England. The rain slowly clears eastwards with drier and brighter weather following. Drier in most other parts of England, Wales and western Scotland during the morning. However, showers will be developing over Wales with the risk of more persistent rain arriving in Ireland this afternoon. Highs at 23C in southeast England, 16C in northern Scotland and Ireland.


Thursday Night
Bands of showery and heavy rain crossing Ireland this evening, reaching western Wales and southwest Scotland by the early hours. Becoming windy as well across the west of the UK and Ireland. Drier in the east with some clear skies and the winds increasing later in the night. Drier weather arrives in western Ireland too. Lows at 8 to 154.
 


Friday
An area of low pressure slips into the west of Scotland on Friday. A band of wind and rain, some of it heavy affecting much of western and southern Scotland, western England and Wales. Starting drier to the east, but rain arrives here through the afternoon, and again soe of it may be heavy. Heavy showers in Ireland, and despite some drier weather arriving in the west for a time, heavy showers will soon develop, some thundery. Winds easing in the west. Highs at a cool 14 to 17C for most.


Saturday
Low pressure remains over the UK on Saturday. This brings another showery day. The showers will be heavy at times and may merge into longer periods of rain wth a risk of thunderstorms. The far north of Scotland may fair better with conditions being mostly dry with sunny spells here. Showers tending to fade in more western areas later in the day and through the evening. Highs at 14 to 18C.
