Western rain
Dry, warm east

Tuesday
A dry morning through much of the UK with the best sunshine in the east. Cloudier skies in the west, some outbreaks of rain affecting the east of Northern Ireland, the far west of Wales, Cornwall and western Scotland. Drier in central and western areas of Ireland and becoming brighter here. This afternoon stays dry across central, southern and eastern areas of England as well as the far east of Scotland. Isolated showers developing over the Pennines. Wetter in the western half of Scotland, Wales, southwest England and eastern Ireland. The rain eventually reaching the Midlands, northwestern and central southern England by evening. Becoming brighter for Ireland, sunny spells here, the best in the west. Highs at 24C in the sunshine in eastern England, just 14C in Ireland.


Tuesday Night
Rain passes through Wales, the western Midlands, northern England and Scotland overnight. It could be heavy and possibly thundery for a time in Scotland and the far northwest of England, otherwise mainly light and showery. Drier further south, a few breaks developing in the cloud. A risk of some patchy rain for western and southern Ireland, although dry elsewhere. Lows at 7 to 10C for most.


Wednesday
Low pressure southwest of Ireland and high pressure southeast of the UK will combined to bring a warm southerly flow on Wednesday. Dry with some bright spells for many on Wednesday morning, although a tendency for cloud to increase. It should be dry for most. Breezier in Ireland with rain in the west and south. This rai edges east in the afternoon whilst the the same time an area of rain develops in central and southern England. Tops at 24C in East Anglia, mainly 16 to 18C elsewhere.


Thursday
Thundery rain passes eastwards through all areas overnight into Thursday. The day is then expected to be brighter and drier for all. Some good spells of sunshine and feeling fresher. It is going to be staying dry into the afternoon with more sunshine to come. Cloud may increase in southern Ireland and southwest England later, perhaps with some fog and drizzle affecting the coasts here. Highs at 15 to 19C for most, but to 23C in southeast England.
