Tuesday
A windy morning on Tuesday with gales in northern and western areas. Wet in the west too with some heavy rain in western Scotland. Gusts of 70-mph could affect western coasts, with gusts then to 50mph inland. Rain then spreads eastwards during the day, although this always tending to be lighter in southern areas. Severe gales cross northern and eastern England, with heavy rain in southern Scotland, northwest England, Wales and southwest England for a time. Brighter westher may pass into western Ireland but the end of the day, turning drier here too. Highs at 10 to 13C.

Tuesday Night
Rain in East Anglia and southeast England at first, together with local gales. This winds easing as the rain fades later in the evening. Less windy weather follows to most, and it should be drier too with some clearer skies. Staying windy in Scotland with some showers northern and west, these turning more persistent later. Further showers in western Ireland, a few afecting western coasts and Wales and England later in the night. Lows around 2 to 4C inland, 7C on coasts.

Wednesday
Low pressure north of Scotland continues to control the weather on Wednesday. A bright start in central and eastern parts of Wales, England and Scotland. Showers in the north of Scotland and through western coasts of Scotland and Wales. These showers will be heavy and persistent at times. Showers too around the coasts of the island of Ireland, more persistent in the southeast. By late morning and into the afternoon the heavier showers will be across much of England and Wales. Still showers in western Scotland and western Ireland. Drier in the east of Scotland. Highs at 4 to 8C.

Thursday
Low pressure crossing Scotland brings another wet and windy day on Thursday. It may start fair in the far east, but rain and gales in the west will be quickly sweeping eastwards. The strongest winds are likely across England, Wales and Ireland with gusts in excess of 60mph on western coasts and hills. Less rain in the far north of Scotland. Rain in the south wil be followed by heavy, blustery showers through Ireland, Wales and western England. Highs at 6 to 12C.
