Wet weather across more western areas of the British Isles will become slow moving and, eventually, fizzle out through the course of the day leaving behind a legacy of overcast and damp conditions through the afternoon across W Scotland, Ireland, Wales and SW England in particular. Elsewhere, across England and Scotland, mainly dry with some brighter intervals but, overall, a lot of cloud is expected. Winds remaining light or moderate S'ly, temperatures 3C to 8C.

Saturday Night
Mostly cloudy and rather damp across more northern and western areas of the British Isles on Saturday night with some patchy light rain and drizzle at times, but overall mainly dry conditions will prevail for most areas, with some clear spells too across England and Wales which may allow for some mist and fog patches to develop in places. Lows 0C to 4C.
 

Sunday
A chilly, misty and murky start with some frost and fog possible. A few bright spells may developing into the afternoon as the fog tends to lift. Becoming windier in western Scotland and western Ireland with heavier bursts of rain and gales arriving here during the afternoon and evening, gales possible later too. Highs at 4C to 9C.
 

Monday
Low pressure will dominate over Iceland and to the north-west of Scotland on Monday introducing a cold and showery NW'ly air mass. Rain and strong winds push eastwards, this rain perhaps turning to snow ober high ground of Scotland and the hills of northern England for a time, clearing SE England through the afternoon. Brighter, colder and more showery weather then follows to the north and west, snow showers increasingly likely on higher ground later. Highs at 2C to 9C.
