A warm front passes east through Scotland and northern England on Thursday. This brings outbreaks of showery rain and a risk of some drizzle over western coasts and hills. There could be mist and fog patches affecting western hills and coasts too. A cloudy day on the whole across the country though some bright spells for Ireland, the Midlands, and the southeast at times. Drier too in southern and eastern parts of England. High temperatures at 14 to 17C.

Thursday Night
Rain arrives from the northwest through the night from Thursday into Friday reaching much of Ireland, Scotland, northern England and western and northern parts of Wales by morning. Staying dry for central and southern parts of England and south Wales too though cloud cover will increase as the night progresses. A windy night too across the country with overnight lows typically ranging from 8 to 11C. Cooler in more rural areas.

Friday
Low pressure north of Scotland on Friday. A cold front will be moving south through the country taking cloud and periods of rain with it. Most of the rain over southern Ireland, Wales and northern England, tending to become more showery to the south. Heavy showers and brighter weather follows into Scotland and Northern Ireland as well as northern England later. A breezy day with colder conditions following from the north. Highs at 18C in southeast England but more generally 13 to 16C. Cooler to the northwest.

Saturday
Low pressure east of the UK on Saturday brings a cool northerly flow. With it comes a mix of sunny spells and a few showers in the east at first. Increasing cloud in the west as a ridge of high pressure builds. Light rain and drizzle in western Ireland and western Scotland perhaps spreading into northern England and the Midlands through the afternoon. Highs at 12C in northern Scotland, 19C in southern England.
