UK Forecast - January 10, 2019
Windy in the north
Close to average temperatures

Friday
A ridge of high pressure over the country on Friday, but with the remnants of a front affecting the far south of England. There will be cloud and some spots of drizzle in the far southeast on Friday morning, this easing at it gets brighter through the day. Cloud should break across most of England and Wales to allow some bright spells to come through, although western coasts and hills are always prone to some low cloud and drizzle. Further drizzle and low cloud for the far west of Scotland and western Ireland, brighter in the east. Highs at 7 to 9C.

Friday Night
A front moves across northern areas overnight on Friday into Saturday bringing cloudy skies and rain to Scotland, Northern Ireland, northern England and North Wales. The heaviest rain will be in northwest Scotland. Breezy too in the north. Overnight lows falling to 1 to 3C.

Saturday
A brisk west to northwest wind affects the UK and Ireland on Saturday. Outbreaks of drizzle in northern and western areas, mostly on windward coasts and hills. Drier in the south with increasing cloud, just a few bright spells in the east. A mild day with temperatures at 7 to 10C.

Sunday
High pressure remains to the southwest of Ireland on Sunday. Low pressure to the north of Scotland. A brisk northwest wind affecting most places, with a risk of gales in northern Scotland. There will be broken cloud and some outbreaks of rain and showers, most in the north and west. Brighter in the south. Highs at 7 to 10C.
