Sunny spells
Rain into the north west

Sunday
The morning will be a dry one with patchy mist clearing to sunny skies. There will be scattered, light showers across north western parts of Scotland. In the afternoon more cloud comes into the west and rain reaches the Western Isles late in the afternoon. The bulk of Britain will be staying fine and dry with lots of sunshine. Feeling warm in the south with maximum temperatures of 16 to 21 Celsius.

Sunday night
In the evening outbreaks of rain will affect north west Scotland with light rain across Northern Ireland. Here the rain tends to linger through the night. This will be quite heavy across the Western Isles. For central, southern and eastern England it will be staying dry with mostly clear skies. A very windy night from the Irish Sea into Northern Ireland and western Scotland with gusts to gale force. Expect minimums of 10 to 14 Celsius.

Monday
A much warmer day today as temperatures climb to well above normal. It remains windy in the west and across Scotland. Rain persists across Northern Ireland, much of Scotland and may drift into western Wales. Elsewhere it's going to stay fine and dry with hazy sunshine across central, southern and eastern parts of England. Overnight that area of rain may drift back westward affecting north west Scotland and Northern Ireland. Dry and clear for the rest of Britain. Expect top temperatures of 18 to 26 Celsius.

Tuesday
A hot day in the south and quite warm for much of the country. There is an increasing risk of some heavy showers with a risk of thunder across south west England up into the Irish Sea, but confidence is low on the detail for today. This may extends further north into Northern Ireland and western Scotland tonight. Central, southern and eastern England could remain dry with hazy sunny spells. Look for high temperatures of 20 to 30 Celsius.
