Wednesday
A band of rain will be moving through Scotland and Ireland this morning. The most persistent of this over Ireland and Wales, but more showery for western Scotland. Rain reaches northwest England, northern and western Wales this afternoon, becoming heavy as it does so. Drier weather for the rest of England and Wales, and although mainly cloudy a few brighter spells may occur in the east. Turning brighter in Scotland too and feeling colder here. Highs at 7 to 12C.

Wednesday night
A wet night for Wales and the far west of Cornwall as well as much of northern England. Rain will be most persistent in the west of Wales, but mostly light elsewhere. Drier across southern and southeast England. Some showers in northern and western Scotland as well as western Ireland, but otherwise dry. Lows at 1C in central Scotland, 7C in southeast England.
 

Thursday
A front lying through southwest England, Wales and into the Midlands and southern parts of northern England on Thursday brings a cloudy and damp day here. There will be periods of rain, some of them heavy in western areas of Wales and Cornwall, these tending to become heavier through the day. Drier for southeastern parts of England, although staying cloudy here. Brighter and cooler in Scotland and Ireland, mostly dry but with some showers in northwest and western Scotland. Highs at 5C in northern Scotland, 14C in southern England.

Friday
A front becomes slow moving over southern England on Friday bringing a wet day here. The rain could be heavy at times and there is a risk of localised flooding in places. Drier further north and west with some brighter spels, and evening some sunshine here and there. Cloudier skies for northwest Scotland where there could be some drizzle on and off through the day. Highs near 6 to 9C for most but up to 13C in the southeast.
