Coronation Holiday Monday
A wet start to Monday across much of the United Kingdom. Dry in East Anglia and southeast England at first. Brighter spells and drier in Ireland with the best sunny spells in the west. Rain arrives in southeast England during the afternoon as brighter weather with showers reaches Scotland, western Wales and southwest England. Heavy showers affecting Ireland, some of them thundery and these reaching western coasts of England and Wales later too. Highs at 14 to 17C.


Monday Night
A wet start to the night, but rain will be clearing eastwards by midnight. Many areas are then drier with broken cloud, although there will be some showers in the west. The showers could be heavy at times and possibly thundery. Lows at 7 to 10C.

 
 
 


Tuesday
Cloudy and damp on Tuesday morning across many parts of central and eastern England. Showery rain affecting more western areas of England, Wales and Scotland. Heavier showers forming in Ireland and these will be pushing into western parts of the United Kingdom in the afternoon. Rain clears eastern England to be replaces by some heavy showers, these affecting eastern Scotland too. Highs at 13 to 16C.


Wednesday
A bright start to Wednesday morning for many with some sunny spells. Showers in western areas tending to be turning heavier during the day and becoming thundery as they pass eastwards through the country. Further showers for northern and western Ireland as well as western Scotland, some of these merging to longer spells of rain at times. Highs at 13 to 16C.
