Southern showers
Mostly dry & very warm

Sunday
A change from the wall to wall sunshine of the past few days. Thundery showers are likely to be spreading into southern and southwest England and southern Wales this afternoon, these perhaps reaching the southern Midlands later. The showers are likely to be scattered but where they occur they could be heavy. A area of cloud and patchy rain may affect northwest Scotland. Much of Ireland will be dry with the best sunshine in the north and west, just an odd shower over the mountains and hills of the southeast; much cooler i the west than recent days. Most other areas of the UK and Ireland will have another fair day with sunny spells with a brisk easterly wind in the south. Some low cloud could drift onto eastern coasts. Highs at 29C in southern England, widely 23 to 27C but 17C in western Ireland and western Scotland.

Sunday Night
The thundery showers drift through southwest England, southern Ireland and the southern Midlands on Sunday evening, these perhaps brushing southern coasts of Ireland. Lows at a very muggy 15C in southern England, 8C in western Scotland and Ireland.

Monday
Low cloud again troubles eastern coasts at times on Monday, this being blown in to the moderate easterly wind. Broken cloud in southwest England with bright or sunny spells here. Broken cloud too in northeast Scotland with an isolated shower over the Grampians. Other areas will be dry with lots of sunshine and will be very warm. Feeling fresher around the coasts. Highs at 28C in central England, 24C in southern Ireland and central Scotland.
