Wednesday
A breezy day ahead and feeling fresher too. There will be scattered showers this morning, most on western coasts and hills. The showers tend to become more frequent as the morning progresses. The showers could become heavy on western coasts and hills this afternoon with a risk of thunderstorms, although always fewer of them as we head east. Some good spells of sunshine between the showers. Winds will be a fresh westerly. Highs at 11 to 16C.


Wednesday Night
Further showers this evening, most on western coasts and hills where they could again be heavy. The showers fade away this evening and into the early part of the night, although they tend to remain in western Scotland and western Ireland. Clearer skies to the east and south. A chilly night with a touch of ground frost in more sheltered areas. Lows near 3 to 5C.
 


Thursday
Low pressure to the north of Scotland on Thursday. A dry morning with sunny spells for many. However, showers will already be affecting northern and western Scotland and Ireland as well as western coasts of England and Wales. The showers become heavier through the day with a risk of thunderstorms and hail although they will be fading in the evening. A breezy day in a fresh westerly wind. Highs at 10 to 14C and feeling cool in that wind.


Friday
Low pressure over northwest France on Friday. This is likely to be bringing cloud across much of England and Wales. There will be rain too in much of central and southern England and Wales. This is likely to be heaviest on southern coasts and hills and there will be plenty of mist and murk around too. Sunshine and showers for Scotland and Northern Ireland, some heavy. Drier in parts of northern England and Ireland with some sunny spells here. Highs at 9 to 13C.
