Wednesday
A warm front passes northeast through Ireland, into Scotland and northern England today. This brings plenty of cloud through many parts of the country, although there will be morning sunshine in Scotland. Drizzly outbreaks of rain in Ireland and western Scotland, this fading from Ireland in the afternoon although becoming more persistent in western Scotland by then. Plenty of fog over the coasts and hills. Most other areas are dry but cloudy at first, although some bright spells developing into the afternoon to the lee of high ground. Always a risk of some drizzle on hills over Wales and the Pennines as wel as Exmoor and Dartmoor. Highs at a mild 10C in northern Scotland, 17C in southern England.

Wednesday Night
Remaining mild overnight. There will be lots of cloud for all parts of the UK and Ireland although it will be mostly dry. A higher risk of drizzle in western Scotland and western Ireland, a few spots reaching western Wales and the hills of northwest England by the morning. Lows at 6 to 9C.
 

Thursday
A ridge of high pressure remains over the south of England and Ireland on Thursday. A cold front will be moving eastwards and is going to be from western Scotland and through Ireland around midday. This brings a band of rain with it and increasing winds to most of Scotland and Ireland. The showery rain reaching northern England and Wales in the afternoon. Remaining dry to the east and south with bright or sunny spells developing. Becoming cooler behind the front with highs at 7 to 10C here, nearer a mild 16C ahead of the front.

Friday
A more unsettled westerly flow on Friday. Southern areas of England and parts of southern Wales should be dry and bright at first, mild too. Cloud increases here through the day. Cloud, rain and strong winds across Ireland, northern Wales, northern England and Scotland. this becoming heavier during the day. Brighter and cooler in northern Scotland with sunny spells here. Highs at 6 to 14C.
