Saturday
An area of low pressure crosses Scotland on Saturday bringing heavy periods of rain and strong winds. Most of the rain in Scotland, northern England and Wales while a band of more showery rain with some heavy bursts embedded edges across central and southern England. The heaviest rain clears to the east through the early afternoon. Showers following from the west with eastern areas tending to be drier with plenty of sunny spells. Highs at 23 or 24C in southeast England, 13 or 14C in northern and central Scotland.

Saturday Night
Outbreaks of rain continue through the night for western coastal parts of the country. More persistent, drizzly rain for Irish Sea coasts of England and Wales. Cloudier to the west and south with clearer skies to the northeast. A chilly night with overnight lows widely at 7 to 11C. Much cooler for more rural parts of northern England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Sunday
Sunday brings a cool and showery day as low pressure is north of Scotland. The northwesterly wind allows for plenty of showers to develop. These will be heavy at times and may merge to give more prolonged periods of rain, especially in the north and west. Fewer showers to the south which is where the best of the sunshine will be too. A breezy day with high temperatures at 11 or 12C in northern Scotland, 18 or 19C in southeast England.

Monday
Another cool day as west to northwesterly winds prevail. This brings a mixture of sunshine and showers again, although the showers less frequent and not as heavy as on Sunday. A mostly dry day for central and southern England, Wales and Ireland. Showers rather limited to Scotland and Northern Ireland. Once again these will be most frequent and heaviest to the west. Plenty of sunshine around too with the best of the brightness to the southwest. Highs at 13 to 19C.
