Drier, brighter weekend
Cooler Monday

Saturday
Low pressure east of the UK on Saturday with higher pressure over Ireland and the western UK brings a cool northerly flow. With it comes a mix of sunny spells, broken cloud and a few showers in the east at first. A mostly dry day with good spells of sunshine for many. Increasing cloud in the northwest later as an area of low pressure approaches from the Atlantic. Light rain or drizzle possible in far western parts of Ireland and Scotland later in the evening. Highs at 12 or 13C in northern Scotland, 19C in southern England.


Saturday Night
Cloud continues to build over northwestern areas through the night from Saturday into Sunday bringing light spots of rain or drizzle to far western parts of Ireland and Scotland. Staying dry for most places with clearer skies for eastern Ireland, eastern Scotland, England and Wales. Overnight lows at 6 to 11C. Cooler in more rural spots.
 


Sunday
A warm front passes east through Scotland bringing cloud and some outbreaks of drizzle in northern and western Scotland. Lower cloud with some drizzle in southern Wales and southwest England too. Elsewhere it should be dry with bright or sunny spells, the best of these in the east and south. A cold front arrives to the west of Ireland later bringing outbreaks of rain to Ireland and western Scotland through the late afternoon and evening. High temperatures at 13 to 18C.


Monday
A cold front brings rain, some of it heavy, southeastwards through eastern Scotland, England and Wales on Monday. Brighter and cooler conditions with frequent showers following into Scotland and Northern Ireland as well as Ireland and northern England later. High temperatures at 12 to 16C for most areas.
