Tuesday
Heavy periods of rain this morning across much of England and Wales. This rain edges east and north into eastern England and southern Scotland during the day. Brighter weather with showers arrives into Wales, southern England and Northern Ireland, although heavy showers will be breaking out in southern Ireland, west Wales and southwest England. Gales in the southwest later. Staying dry in the far north of Scotland. Highs at 19C in southeast England but more generally 15 to 18C.


Tuesday Night
Heavy showers affecting much of central and southern England tonight as well as Wales. More persistent rain in central and southern Scotland, some of this heavy at first but easing as the night wears on. Showers may merge to longer spells of rain with a risk of thunder in the south later. Lows at 9 to 12C.
 


Wednesday
Low pressure brings showery rain to much of southern England and Wales on Wednesday morning, this tending to ease during the day. Further rain affecting central parts of Scotland. Generally turning drier and brighter in the afternoon although still some showers in the east. Thicker cloud, stronger winds and rain into Ireland and southwest England later. Highs at 15 to 19C.
 


Thursday
Low pressure pushes fronts and rain eastwards overnight, this clearing eastern England on Thursday morning. Following will be breezy conditions with a mix of sunshine and showers. The showers heavy at times over western coasts and hills. Increasingly windy in the west too. Highs at 14 to 19C.
