Early rain in east

Thursday
A cloudy and damp start to the morning on Thursday in eastern parts of the country. Brighter and drier weather will be in the west and these better conditions will be edging eastwards as the morning progresses. Most area then experiencing a fine afternoon with some pleasant spells of sunshine and feeling rather mild. Wind and rain will be arriving into western Ireland later. Highs at 14 to 20C.


Thursday Night
After a dry start to the night outbreaks of rain will be passing into southern and southeast England later. A main band of wind and rain pushes eastwards across Ireland, some of them rain heavy. This band of rain then reaches western Scotland, Wales and western England by the morning. Lows at 8 to 12C.
 


Friday
A front passes eastwards during Friday bringing a wet morning in western areas. The rain band then affects eastern parts of Scotland and eastern England on Friday afternoon. At the same time brighter and drier weather arrives in the west with some sunny spells developing. Showers in western Ireland and western Scotland, a few of them heavy. Highs at 14 to 20C.
 


Saturday
An area of rain may be affecting Ireland on Saturday morning, this then slipping into Wales, western England and Scotland in the afternoon. More eastern and southern areas start brighter with sunny spells although will be clouding up later. Perhaps turning damp in northern England and the Midlands through the afternoon. Tops near 12 to 18C.
