Tuesday
A weak ridge of high pressure builds on Tuesday. This gives a fair day to much of England, Wales and eastern Scotland. Morning cloud will break allowing some good spells of sunshine to come through. Thicker cloud affects western Scotland and the north of Ireland as a weakening fronts slips south. This gives outbreaks of rain and drizzle, most of it light, with low cloud shrouding western coasts and hills of Scotland and Northern Ireland. Muggy in the south at 26C, but fresher in northern Scotland at 16C.


Tuesday Night
A mild night in England and Wales, dry too with only a little cloud affecting western coasts of Wales. A front gives some cloud and more persistent drizzle or light rain to the western Scotland and Northern Ireland. Low cloud on the hills here. Drier in eastern areas. Lows at 11 to 16C.
 


Thursday
A cold front brings a band of rain to East Anglia, the eastern Midlands and southeast England on Thursday morning, this clearing east by lunchtime. Brighter, fresher weather follows from the west with a scattering of showers on western coasts and hills. More persistent showers and stronger winds affecting Scotland and Ireland, most of the showers in western areas. Temperatures at 23C in southeast England, generally 15 to 17C for most other places.


Friday
A ridge of high pressure over the south of the UK on Friday with low pressure affecting the north and Ireland. Mainly dry and warm in England and eastern Wales. Low cloud affecting some western coasts of Wales. Fronts brings rain and cloud to the north and west of Ireland as well as western Scotland. Breezy for western Ireland and Scotland. Highs at 24C in the south and east, 15C in northern Scotland.
