Mild for all

Tuesday
Wet and breezy this morning over central and southern Ireland, Wales, central and southern England, the heaviest rain in the southwest. A further area of rain in eastern Scotland. Drier for other areas, but cloudy. The rain tracks into Northern Ireland and northern England this morning, becoming slow moving over East Anglia and southeast England. Brighter weather but with heavy showers follows to southern Ireland, Wales and southwest England. Drier in northwest Scotland, the cloud more broken here. Windy in northern Scotland too. Highs at 8 to 14C.


Tuesday Night
A wet night in Scotland away from western coasts. The rain heaviest in the east. Further heavy showers merging to longer spells of thundery rain in Wales, southwest and southern England. A dry night in other areas with broken cloud. Lows will be close to 4 to 9C.
 


Wednesday
Low pressure is expected to be off eastern England on Wednesday. There will be rain in central and eastern parts. More rain in northern Scotland. Heavy showers in more central and western parts of England and Wales as well as eastern Ireland, although these showers tending to ease into the evening. Mostly dry and bright in much of central and western Ireland. Gales may affect northern Scotland, lighter winds elsewhere. Highs at 8 to 13C.


Thursday
Low pressure stays to the east on Thursday. This allows for fronts to pass south bringing rain into much of Scotland and northern England, as well as Northern Ireland. Behind the rain band will be much colder weather with a mix of sunshine and wintry showers over the hills of northern Scotland. The rain reaches north wales, the Midlands and East Anglia in the afternoon. Highs at 5C in northern Scotland, 11C in southern England.
