UK Forecast - August 29, 2017
Rather cool
Cloudy, rain south

Wednesday
Complex fronts affect south-eastern Britain, producing a lot of cloud and outbreaks of rain. In some southern areas, rain may persist for several hours - locally heavy - but a chance that many places may see very little rain. Windy in the south-east. Brighter toward the north & west. Largely dry for Wales, northern England & eastern Scotland. Showery and breezy for western Scotland & N.Ireland. Quite cool, especially in rain, 14 to 19C.

Wednesday night
Some rain may continue to affect the south-east into the night, but should gradually pull away into the near-continent. Staying fairly cloudy in the south & east, although northern and western areas should see clear spells. A few showers likely around coasts in the far north-west. A light to moderate westerly breeze, but still blustery around south-eastern coasts. Cool, lows 8 to 12C, dipping to 5C in rural northern valleys.

Thursday
Areas of showery rain are expected to spread from the west through the day, which may result in locally frequent rain for a few hours, with some heavy bursts possible. However, some places may avoid most of these, particularly in east & south-east England, with periods of sunshine likely. Western areas becoming brighter later. Fairly light westerly winds. Feeling fresh, highs 17 to 21C, but cooler where rain lingers.

Friday
High pressure builds across the country, bringing a fair day with good amounts of sunshine. Mostly light winds, although a fresh northerly breeze may affect some southern counties. North-western areas may be rather cloudy. Chance of a shower in the far east & south-east, but these may be very well scattered. Starting cool, but becoming pleasantly warm in the sunshine, reaching highs of 18 to 22C.
