Sunny spells & mostly dry
Showers in west

Thursday
A fresher morning on Thursday with sunny spells for many. There may be a few showers in northwest England and these affecting Scotland too. Heavier showers moving into western parts of Ireland, these heading east into western Scotland in the afternoon. Most other areas will be dry with sunny spells, the best of these across the Midlands and southern England and Wales. Highs generally 16 to 18C in northern and western areas but up to 22 or 23C in southern and southeast England.


Thursday Night
Cloudier skies tonight in Scotland and Ireland as well as western Wales and northwest England. Some outbreaks of rain in northern parts of Ireland and western Sotland. Dry in other areas with the cloud being well broken and a few mist patches forming in southern England by the morning. Lows at 9 to 14C.
 


Friday
A ridge of high pressure extends through many southern and eastern areas of the UK on Friday. This is going to be bringing dry conditions with good spells of sunshine and it will be feeling warmer here too. With lower pressure west of Scotland and Ireland there will be more cloud here with rain in these areas too. Highs at 17 to 19C in the north and west, 24C in eastern England.


Saturday
A ridge of high pressure across southern areas on Saturday. A small area of low pressure may give some cloud and rain in Scotland with a few showers in northern England. Drier to the south with good spells of sunshine throughout the day. Highs at 25C in southeast England, 16 to 19C in northern and western areas.
