Sunshine and showers
Feeling warmer

Saturday
A zone of fairly persistent rain affects western regions of Britain in the morning, some heavy falls in the southwest. Patchy rain possible in the southeast, but many eastern counties should begin dry with a little sun. Outbreaks of rain will move erratically east & northeast through the afternoon, with heavy or thundery bursts locally. Clearing from the southwest. Risk of slow-moving downpours for Scotland and Ireland. A southerly breeze. Highs 14 to 20C.

Saturday night
Residual showers will fade overnight, and cloud will break to give some clear spells. A few areas of showers may continue around coasts in the west. A risk of rain staying more persistent over central-northern Scotland. Winds mostly light inland. Blustery around some coasts, especially in the south. Temperatures dipping into single figures for most, lows below 5C in sheltered rural areas of Wales, Scotland and northern England.

Sunday
A southwesterly breeze affects the British Isles, and low pressure is nearby, resulting in a day of sunshine and showers for many places. Rain may be frequent around western coasts from the word go, whilst some heavy and locally thundery downpours will advance eastwards across the country into the afternoon. Some sunshine, best in the east. The south coast and far southeast should stay mostly dry. A brisk breeze, gusty near showers. Highs 14 to 20C.

Monday
A showery day, with an unstable southwesterly airflow influencing Britain and Ireland. Frequent bursts of rain for the northwest, often raining over western hills of Scotland and Cumbria. Showers developing across England & Wales into the afternoon, spreading eastwards. Heavy bursts for some, but quite hit and miss. Driest in the far southeast. Windy for most. Highs 14 to 21C, warmest southeast.
