An increasingly cloudy day with periods of thundery rain moving into Ireland today. Becoming damp as well in southwest England through this afternoon and increasingly murky. A fair start for most other areas although cloud increasing in much of England and Wales. Showery bursts of thundery rain developing this afternoon, these turning increasingly heavy towards the evening and then a gathering area of storms passing north into northern England, the Midlands and Scotland tis evening. Staying wet in Ireland, some of it heavy and thundery. Highs at 26C in southern England, 17C in northern Scotland and just 15C in the rain over Ireland.

Sunday Night
Heavy periods of thundery rain passing north through Sunday night, the heaviest of this in northern England, central and northern parts of Ireland and southern Scotland. Localised downpours are likely with some flooding here and there. Tending to turn drier to the south, although rather misty. A muggy night with lows of 18C in southern England, 12C in northern Scotland.
 

Monday
Low pressure to the southwest of Ireland on Monday continues to push thundery rain north. This brings a wet morning to central and eastern Scotland, although brighter skies should develop for England, Wales and Ireland. There is a risk of some thundery showers developing, these especially across the south of Ireland, northern and eastern England where there will always be more cloud. A humid day with highs at 22 to 26C for many, although 13C in northern Scotland.

Tuesday
Further bursts of heavy, thundery rain are likely in southern and central areas of Wales and England on Tuesday, these affecting southern Ireland too. Drier in northern parts of Ireland, northern England and Scotland with a brisk breeze here. Variable cloud and some sunny spells, the best in the west of Scotland. Highs at 27C in southeast England, 15C in northern Scotland.
