Cloudier east, some showers
Drier, brighter west

Friday
High pressure is centred just to the west of Ireland on Friday. There will be rather cloudy skies for many areas but some sunny spells too, these best in the west as well as developing across the southeast. Staying largely dry but with some showery rain affecting the Lincolnshire area pushing southwest towards Gloucestershire. Highs around a chilly 9 or 10C through central and east England, 13 or 14C further north and west.

Friday Night
It will be a largely dry night, once showers dry up across southern and eastern areas through the evening. Variable cloud cover but with clear skies expected further north and across far southern areas. Risk of more showers pushing onshore over East Anglia and Lincolnshire towards dawn. Lows reaching to 1 or 2C across the far south and southeast, between 3 and 7C elsewhere.

Saturday
High pressure to the southwest of Ireland on Saturday. It should be a dry day for most but with a risk of a few bits and pieces of light rain across southern and southeastern parts of England. More cloud over northern and western Scotland as well as Ireland with the best of the sunshine across eastern Scotland and northern and central parts of England as well as Wales. Highs generally between 10 and 15C but could be chillier across East Anglia.

Sunday
High pressure still generally the dominating weather feature on Sunday although a weakened front will bring more cloud and some possible light rain to western areas as well as through some southern English counties. Generally dry elsewhere with variable amounts of cloud about and some sunny spells too. Highs at 10 to 14C.
