Tuesday
A damp and murky day to come over much of England and Wales as well as the south and east of Ireland. Patchy rain this morning, with a few moderate bursts, will be fading away in more central and eastern areas this afternoon although it stays damp and murky along southern coasts of England and western coasts of Wales. Drier in Scotland and the far north of England with some brighter spells in northern Scotland. Spots of drizzle in southern parts of Northern Ireland and the southern half of northern England. Becoming breezier in Ireland and western Scotland later. Highs at 7 to 8C in northern England and Scotland, 12C in southern England and Ireland.


Tuesday Night
A damp night over northern England, southern and western Scotland with much low cloud on hills. Staying murky in western and southern parts of England and Wales, again with drizzle on windward facing hills. Drier overall in eastern England although cloudy. More persistent rain across Ireland and western Scotland as well as the far west of Wales and far southwest of England. Windy in Scotland, although this easing. Lows near 5 to 9C.


Wednesday
A ridge of high pressure to the east of the UK with lower pressure to the southwest. Cloud and some rain in Scotland, western Wales, the far southwest of England and eastern Scotland. Rather dull over the rest of England and eastern Wales although the cloud breaking here to reveal a few bright or sunny spells. Rain arrives through northwest England and Wales in the afternoon. Turning drier in northern and western Scotland and much of Ireland with some brighter spells here. Highs at 7 to 11C.


Thursday
Low pressure is to the west on Thursday with high pressure remaining east of the UK. Fronts bringing rain, some of it heavy to western Ireland, this edging east during the day. The remnants of fronts bringing lots of cloud and damp conditions to much of England and Wales with hills and coastal fog. Drier in much of Scotland and the east of Ireland at first but rain arrives later. Staying dry in northern Scotland. Highs at 9 to 12C.
