Cloudy across much of the country today. Outbreaks of mainly light rain are expected across East Anglia, Humberside and into the East Midlands and south east England this morning. This rain tends to linger from north east England down into central and southern parts of England but dry across the south west and into Wales and northern England. Some light rain is also likely across western parts of Scotland. Expect highs of 6 to 8 Celsius.


Monday night
Sporadic outbreaks of rain are expected across England and Wales for this evening but mainly dry across the south west and south east. Dry too across Scotland, northern Ireland and northern England. Still some rain to come across northern England, Wales and south west England in the night. Minimum temperatures of 1 to 5 Celsius across Britain.


Tuesday
A cooler day to come. Strong winds will be developing across northern Britain with gusts to 65 mph around exposed coasts of northern Scotland and over the hills. A front spreads outbreaks of rain in across Northern Ireland and western Scotland later in the day. Dry through the day across England and Wales with a good deal of cloud. Windy into the evening and night across the north but not as windy as the day. Rain spreads down into northern England, Wales and south west England. Expect top temperatures of 4 to 8 Celsius.


Wednesday
Quite a windy day across northern Scotland and across central and southern parts of England. Another cloudy day in store for Britain with outbreaks of rain. This is likely to turn heavier in the afternoon across Wales, south west and north west England. Very little rain fall to affect the south east. Rain across central and southern parts of England and Wales this evening clears all but the far south of England tonight. Colder in the north with scattered wintry showers over the Scottish hills in the north. Look for high temperatures of 6 to 11 Celsius.
