Rain in west

Thursday
Plenty of cloud around to start today. There will be some fog shrouding the hills and also some outbreaks of drizzle affecting southern slopes. To the north of high ground some breaks should appear in the cloud allowing for a few bright or sunny spells. The afternoon sees the bright spells becoming more prevalent but still cloudy for many with more low cloud on hills. Wetter weather across Ireland where a front will be bringing more persistent rain, especially in the south. Mild for all at 8 to 11C.


Thursday Night
Tonight remains murky for most with some fog over the hills. Bits and pieces of drizzle, mostly over southern facing slopes and hills. More persistent rain affects the west of Scotland and Ireland, most of this in the east. Lows near 6 to 8C.

 
 
 


Friday
A slack pressure flow affects the UK and Ireland on Friday. Fronts remains to the west bringing rain to western Scotland and eastern Ireland as well as the far west of Wales and far southwest of England. Patchy rain in eastern Scotland later after a dry start. Broken cloud across the rest of England and Wales and apart from some spots of drizzle on hills it should be dry. Becoming drier in Ireland and brighter as the afternoon progresses. Highs at 8 to 11C.


Saturday
Pressure is expected to be high over the southern half of the UK and Ireland on Saturday. Lower pressure north of Scotland bringing some cloud and outbreaks of rain here. Drier elsewhere although with the risk of some morning fog patches in southern Wales and the south of England. These clearing to leave broken cloud and a few brighter spells. Highs at 7 to 10C.
