Saturday
Overnight rain across northern parts of Scotland will continue into and through the day on Saturday. Elsewhere, expect a mostly dry day, other than some scattered showers. Rather cloudy to start but sunny spells are expected to develop through the day for many. Top temperatures 17 to 24C, warmest in the southeast, although cooler still across western Scotland and northwest England.

Saturday night
Overnight, rain will gradually clear from northern and eastern Scotland to become drier here. Later in the night, patchy light rain could affect southwest Wales while persistent rain moves in on to the far south and southeast of Ireland. Lows dropping to single figures in the north including Northern Ireland. Milder further south.
 

Sunday
High pressure establishes itself across Scotland and Northern Ireland resulting in a cool start with fog and mist patches, before a fair day ahead here with sunny spells. Meanwhile, across England, much of Ireland and Wales cloud will be widespread. Rain will affect southern and southeastern regions of Ireland, heavy and persistent in places, as well as push northeastwards across Wales. Elsewhere, remaining dry at this stage. Highs 14 to 21C, perhaps warmer in SE England.

Monday
A cool start for many northern areas again with the potential for some low-lying fog for a time. Cloud further south will push northwards as rain is expected to spread north up the UK. Details on where the rain will be are still uncertain. Heavy rain through parts of Ireland still into Northern Ireland with rain affecting some western regions of England, Wales and Scotland. Staying dry elsewhere. Highs generally around 16 to 22C, although cooler across parts of Scotland into northern England.
