Friday
A cooler northwest flow affects all parts of the country on Friday. There will be a mix of sunny spells and a scattering of showers. Most of the showers affecting more coastal areas of the west, with a few in eastern parts too. Ireland may also have a scattering of showers, but some sunshine as well. Highs near 6 to 9C.
 


Friday Night
A mostly dry night on Friday though a scattering of showers may affect northern parts of Scotland. Cloud builds from the west over Ireland and the western UK but skies stay clear for much of Scotland and England. Outbreaks of showery rain may develop over western Scotland by Saturday morning. Highs across much of the UK and eastern Ireland at -2 to 1C allowing for a widespread frost and ice patches to develop, milder over western Ireland at 3 to 6C.


Saturday
A chilly start to Saturday as a ridge of high pressure affects the UK. Increasing wind and cloud over Ireland quickly moves east through the morning. The UK stays dry initially with sunny spells although cloud increases from the west into the afternoon and winds will pick up as well. Rain arrives over western Scotland by mid afternoon and may be rather heavy. Western coasts of Wales and England will see increasing amounts of low cloud and drizzle by the end of the day. Staying dry for more inland areas. A milder day, after a cool start, with temperatures at 7 to 11C.


Sunday
A front clears eastwards on Sunday morning. This leaves breezy conditions with a mix of sunshine and showers following from the west. A few of the showers could be heavy, especially on western coasts and hills. Highs at 6 to 11C.
