UK Forecast - December 27, 2021
Mixed, windy
Turning very mild

Tuesday
An area of low pressure will push eastwards across the country and bring spells of rain to initally Northern Ireland then on to southern Scotland, much of England and Wales. Through the day the rain will clear from the west with drier and brighter weather following. Drier in the far south and far north although some showers for parts of northern Scotland. Winds brisk for a time as the rain passes through. Highs at 6 to 12C, though cooler still across northern Scotland.

Tuesday night
A largely dry start to the night thanks to a brief build in higher pressure. Then cloud will soon thicken from the west and rain is expected to push in across western regions. Winds will also strengthen. Lows at 1 to 5 in the north, perhaps touching zero in some rural Scottish locations. Lows at a milder 6 to 10C further south.

Wednesday
An unsettled day as rain associated with low pressure sweeps eastwards. Rain largely clears by the afternoon across Northern Ireland and much of central and southern England as well as Wales, though with a few showers further west here, with brighter spells developing. Rain slower to clear Scotland and northern England. Temperatures will climb as the day progresses from the southwest with highs at 10 to 15C, though still cool across northern and central areas of Scotland.

Thursday
A strong westerly wind continues to affect Britain, with some further rain or showers pushing into mainly western areas. Drier and brighter toward eastern regions. Generally mild, very mild in central and southern England, highs 10 to 14C.
