UK Forecast - August 22, 2021
Mostly dry
Best sun in west, cloudier east

Monday
An area of high pressure is going to be dominating the weather across the UK and Ireland on Monday. Low cloud, mist and fog to start the day across parts of Scotland, northern England, parts of Wales and Northern Ireland but many places here seeing sunshine break out through the day. Some coastal regions those may just hang on to the mist and fog. The best of the sunshine in western and southern areas. Generally dry, although a chance of a shower over the high ground of Wales, north Scotland and northwest England. Highs at 19 to 24C.

Monday Night
One or two showers may linger in the evening across north Scotland and northwest England. Overnight, cloud does look to push back in across the north and east of the UK as well as across Ireland and Northern Ireland with the odd scattered shower at risk along some southeastern English coasts. Elsewhere dry. Lows at 10 to 14C.

Tuesday
Any low cloud first thing should lift for many rather quickly although coastal regions could see some mist linger. Another largely dry day come Tuesday as high pressure is dominant, however, with an easterly flow present expect cloudier skies towards eastern English counties. Better sunshine elsewhere. Highs at 19 to 26C, although again cooler down eastern coasts.

Wednesday
High pressure being the main weather feature again on Wednesday bringing a dry day with some places seeing lengthy spells of sunshine, but others bearing more cloud cover. Perhaps though the risk of low cloud/mist and fog affecting the coasts of east England once again. Highs at 18 to 24C and in the lasting sunshine higher still.
