High pressure is centred toward the northwest, maintaining a settled spell of weather. Fairly cloudy skies to start the day, although some areas of sun will be around, generally best in the west and southwest, whilst some sunny breaks will develop elsewhere. The thicker cloud may produce the odd light shower in the northeast at times. A cool northerly breeze affects eastern coasts, where top temperatures only around 13C. Highs 18 to 22C inland, warmest in the south and west.

Sunday night
Staying dry for most, barring the odd drizzly shower near eastern coasts. Variable cloud and clear spells, the cloud most broken across western regions, whilst east and northeastern areas will hold onto a lot of cloud cover overnight. Fairly light winds inland, but the cool breeze continues near eastern coasts. A few mist and fog patches forming in sheltered low lying spots. Overnight lows 6 to 9C in rural parts in the west & north, 10 to 12C in most towns and cities.

Monday
High pressure continues to influence Britain. Dry for most places, although thicker cloud may bring spots of light rain or drizzle to some eastern coasts and hills occasionally. Rather cloudy skies across much of England & Wales, with the best of the sunshine in the west. Scotland will fare better for sunshine, best in the west. Disappointingly cool in a fresh northerly breeze on eastern coasts, only 13C. Highs 18 to 22C inland, pleasantly warm where sunshine breaks through.

Tuesday
High pressure stays centred to the northwest. Strongest northeasterly winds near east and southern coasts where it will feel rather cool. A lot of cloud continues to be drawn in across east and central England, with a little drizzly rain possible in the northeast. Sunnier skies toward the west. Lightest winds in central and western Scotland. Highs 18 to 22C, but only 14C on eastern coasts.
