Rain in the east at first

Friday
Low pressure moves into Ireland on Friday. This brings cloud and outbreaks of rain, some of them heavy, as fronts move north and east. Wet in Ireland, Wales and much of the west and south of England. Showers in Scotland, some of them heavy, but some bright spells here too. Perhaps drier in the far east. Highs widely at 18 to 22C, just 15 to 17C in Scotland and northern England.


Friday Night
Outbreaks of rain continuing overnight for southeastern England and western Scotland. Showers for Ireland, western Wales and the northwest of England. Breezy across the southern half of the UK. Overnight lows at 10 to 13C for Ireland and northwestern parts of the UK; a muggy 15 to 17C in the southeast.
 


Saturday
Low pressure brings heavy spells of rain overnight into much of England, Wales, Ireland and southern Scotland. The low is then over Scotland on Saturday. Wet in Scotland and southern and southeastern parts of England with heavy periods of rain. Brighter and breezier elsewhere with scattered showers. Brightening into the evening. Temperatures at 24C in southern England, 16 to 18C across northern parts of the UK.


Sunday
A ridge of high pressure affects southern and eastern parts of the country on Sunday. This brings spells of sunshine, warm temperatures and dry weather for many. Thicker cloud and some rain affecting Ireland and western Scotland, stronger winds here too. Highs widely at 19 to 25C, 26 or 27C in the southeast of England.
