Once it has gone there will be some decent spells of sunshine developing and it will be a fair day. Cloudier for Scotland, especially the north and west, breezier in northern Scotland too. Highs near 6 to 9C.
Wednesday Night Fog developing over much of England and Wales tonight. The fog dense in central and southern areas an d becoming widespread. A touch of frost by morning in more sheltered locations. More cloud to the north and breezier with some drizzle in western Scotland. A slight frost to the south. Lows at 1 to 4C.
Thursday Lots of mist and fog around on Thursday morning, this slow to clear and perhaps lingering through the day in some places. Where it clears the day is likely to be bright with some sunny spells. Cloudier in northern and western Scotland, a few bits of drizzle over western coasts and hills. Staying dry further south with a few bright or sunny spells, although further fog may linger in the south. Highs at 6 to 8C.
Friday High pressure remains across Britain. More mist and fog patches for England and Wales and these slowly clearing for some. There may also be a fair amount of cloud around too with some drizzle on hills, most in western and northern Scotland. Highs at 7 to 9C.
