Thursday
An area of cloud and some showery bursts of rain across Wales and southern England on Thursday morning as a front clears south. Brighter and colder weather follows from the north bringing lots of sunshine. Showers in northern and western Scotland, these wintry on the hills. One or two wintry showers over the hills of northern England too. Highs at 5C in northern Scotland, 9 to 11C across much of England and Wales, but turning colder during the day.


Thursday Night
Overnight, cloud spilling in across much of the country but with some clear spells in places patchy frost will develop for some. Mostly dry but patchy rain pushing across the far north of Scotland and Orkney. Lows at 0 to 4C.

 
 
 


Friday
High pressure is to the south of the British Isles on Friday. A warm front passes north of Scotland bringing some stronger winds here, cloud and outbreaks of drizzle and rain. Drier for eastern Scotland as well as central and eastern England, although always a fair amount of cloud. Highs at 7 to 11C.
 


Saturday
Low pressure brings gales and a period of rain in Scotland early on Saturday. Turning brighter and cooler through the day with sleet and snow over hills. Cloud and showery rain pushing into northern England and Ireland, these wintry over hills. Southern areas will be drier with broken cloud, a few spots of drizzle over western coasts and hills. Breezy for all. Highs at 8 to 12C and turning colder in Scotland.
