Wednesday
An area of low pressure moves up through St George's Channel Wednesday morning and will bring wet conditions for England and Wales as well as eastern Ireland. Elsewhere across Ireland there will be plenty of dry conditions through the morning before cloud thickens and rain spreads in from the southwest during the afternoon. Meanwhile, Scotland and Northern Ireland will see a day of sunny spells and some scattered showers, these could turn heavy over western Scotland. Rain is expected to push into southern Scotland later on however. A relatively warm and muggy feeling day for many. Highs at 21C in the north and south. Highs at 20C across Ireland.


Wednesday Night
Rain will continue to spread northwards overnight and turn heavy across western Ireland, possibly thundery here too, as well as across parts of Scotland. The rain should clear southwest England and south Wales through the early hours, as well as southwest Ireland for a time before more rain moves in here. A muggy night in the southeast with lows at 18C. Cooler further north and west with lows at 10C.


Thursday
A dry and bright start for the far southwest of England, southwest Wales as well as parts of southern Ireland. Through the morning rain will continue to clear from the south with drier and brighter conditions developing elsewhere across England and Wales. More rain is expected to move into western areas during the afternoon however. Meanwhile, it will be a wet morning with spells of rain for Scotland but rain should clear from the south through the day. Breezy for many. A mixed day across Ireland and Northern Ireland with spells of rain affecting most places, turning heavy and persistent in the south and west later. A windy day here. Warm with highs at 26C in southeast England, 19C in Ireland and 21C in Scotland.


Friday
Low pressure remains close to Ireland on Friday allowing for a brisk southwesterly wind across the country. Heavy showers or longer spells of rain affecting much of Scotland and Ireland during the day. The showers will be less frequent across England and Wales, however, further north and west still expect some heavier showers to blow through. Maximum temperatures at 24C in the southeast of England and 15C in northern Scotland.
