Sunday
Low pressure is to the south of Britain on Sunday. This brings outbreaks of showery rain across much of central and southern England and Wales as well as southern Ireland. The rain could turn heavy at times in the afternoon with the risk of thunderstorms developing. Rather cloudy across northern England with showers at times. Lower cloud with mist and fog affecting northeastern coasts of England as well as eastern coasts of Scotland. The best sunshine and driest weather for western Scotland. Highs at 25C in southeastern England, 22C in western Scotland, 17 to 19C elsewhere. Perhaps cooler where mist and fog persist.

Sunday Night
Showery outbreaks of rain spread northward overnight into southern and central parts of Scotland while continuing to affect much of England, Ireland and Wales too. Staying drier overnight for northern Scotland as well as Northern Ireland but with plenty of cloud around here. The best of any clear skies over western Scotland. A few mist and fog patches may develop over favoured spots in eastern England and Scotland. Overnight lows at 12 to 15C for most, 16 or 17C in parts of the south and southeast, cooler in more rural spots.

Monday
Thundery periods of rain on Monday, many affecting England, Wales and Ireland as well as southern parts of Scotland. The afternoon sees the risk of some potentially torrential showers forming in England, Wales and Ireland. Lower cloud continues to affect eastern Scotland with some mist and fog here. Drier in northern Scotland. Highs at 16 to 24C.

Low pressure centred over northern England and southern Scotland on Tuesday. There will be cloud and periods of rain affecting many areas, the rain could be thundery. Just about anywhere seeing the showers into the afternoon with longer spells of rain in places. Plenty of cloud with limited bright and sunny spells. Highs at 17 to 24C.
