Saturday
Outbreaks of showery rain across much of England and Scotland on Saturday morning. Some of these will continue across eastern parts of northern England and Scotland into the afternoon. Brighter and dry weather passing into Ireland, Wales and southwest England although there will be a few showers affecting coasts and hills here. These brighter spells should also arrive through central and southern England in the afternoon. Cloud thickens across southwest Ireland later in the afternoon with rain arriving here by evening. High temperatures at 6 to 9C.

Saturday night
Winds strengthen to the southwest overnight as rain, this locally heavy, spreads across Ireland and Northern Ireland and into western Wales and southwestern parts of England and Scotland by morning. Coastal gales are possible for exposed areas in the west. Becoming increasingly cloudy over the rest of the UK as the night progresses with just far eastern areas holding on to clearer skies. Overnight lows at 2 to 6C for most.

Sunday
A wetter day for Sunday as a large area of low pressure is positioned to the west of Ireland. Fronts pass eastwards bringing rain across Ireland, Wales and southwest England by early morning, then spreading to all areas through the morning and into the afternoon. Staying wet in East Anglia and the southeast well into the evening with heavy showers following to many western parts of Wales, England and Scotland. The winds increasing too with a risk of gales in exposed coastal areas across the country. Highs at 7C in the east, up to 12C in the west.

Monday
Early rain clears from southeast England and from southern and central Scotland through the morning while frequent showers feed in across the country from the southwest. Showers mainly affecting southern and western coasts of England, Ireland and Wales but there will be few for western Scotland too. The best of any brightness over eastern Ireland as well as central and eastern parts of England. Highs at a mild 8 to 12C.
