Bright spells, few showers
Cloud & rain in west

Friday
Scattered showers over the south of the UK and Wales this morning. Dry with sunny spells for many other areas and staying this was during the morning. Thicker cloud and some outbreaks of rain into the west of Ireland. This rain then spreads eastwards, reaching the west of Wales, western Scotland and western England by evening, and turning misty and murky on western coasts too. Eastern areas stay brighter and dry, although it will be clouding over here as well. Highs at 24C in southeast England, 20C in Ireland and Scotland.


Friday Night
Fronts spread eastwards during the night. These bring cloud and outbreaks of rain over most parts of the UK and Ireland. Most of the rain will be in western Scotland where the could be heavy at times. Plenty of low cloud shrouding the hills, mostly in the north and west where there will be coastal fog too. Showers following into Ireland, most in the west. Lows near a muggy 10 to 15C.


Saturday
Low pressure to the northwest of Scotland on Saturday. Fronts pass eastwards across the country bringing cloud and rain with them. Most of the rain in western and southern parts of the UK. It may be that the southeast of England could be avoiding the worst of the rain. Drier weather, although with showers will be following from the west bringing broken cloud, bright spells and some showers. Highs at 24C in southeast England, 19C in eastern Ireland.


Sunday
A complex area of low pressure affects the UK and Ireland through Sunday. This brings sunny spells and fresher weather for all. There will be showers in northern and western areas, some of these will be heavy and may merge into longer spells of rain at times. Fewer showers to the east and south, with the best of the sunny spells here. Highs at 17 to 24C.
