Tuesday
Rather a lot of cloud around on Tuesday morning across the whole of the UK and Ireland. There could be a few bright spells in northwest Scotland, although over southern Scotland and old front gives some spots of drizzle or light rain. More persistent rain into southern Ireland early in the morning, spreading to southwest England. This rain then heading north ot be through Northern Ireland, Wales, the Midlands and southern England by mid afternoon, and reaching northern England by early evening. Highs near 6C in northern Scotland, 14C in southern England


Tuesday night
A wet night for many with rain reaching Scotland through the evening, some of it heavy at times. A further band of blustery rain cross southern Ireland, then moving through Wales, central and southern England in the afternoon, the winds increasing too with gales in the far south. Lows near 3 to 7C.
 


Wednesday
A shallow area of low pressure crosses the country early on Wednesday morning. This brings some showery rain with it at first across central and eastern areas. Patchy rain in western Scotland, with a further band through Ireland and Wales, this heading north. Drier to the east as the rain clears, and drier weather arriving to the south too, although remaining cloudy. Highs at 10 to 14C.


Thursday
Low pressure will be centred to the west of Scotland on Thursday. A brisk south-westerly flow will affect all of the country., This is spreading eastwards during the afternoon although tending to become lighter and more patchy. High temperatures at 10 to 14°C.
