Sunday
A cold, frosty start to the morning across northern parts of Britain with sunny spells across Scotland, northern England into East Anglia. Cloudy in the south and across Wales and the south with a band of rain and drizzle. In the afternoon this band of rain is expected to spread north into Northern Ireland, south west Scotland and much of northern England as it dries up in the south. Colder today away from the south with highs of 3 to 12 Celsius north to south.

Sunday night
This evening we expect the arc of rain to affect Northern Ireland, Scotland, north east England and East Anglia. Cloudy but dry to the south. Overnight the rain becomes confined to northern Scotland with a risk of heavy snow over the hills with some sleet and wet snow to lower levels. Cloudy but dry across the rest of the United Kingdom. Lows of 3 to 7 Celsius.

Monday
East Anglia and the south east are looking fine and dry with sunny spells. Elsewhere it's a cloudy day. Another pulse of heavy rain across south west England in the morning is expected to push north into Wales, The Midlands and Dorset while rain and sleet across northern Scotland turns patchy as it drifts into southern Scotland. Very wet across much of England and Wales this evening but it may stay dry across parts of northern England including Cumbria. Overnight it does look like all of England and Wales will be wet and the rain may heavy across all of northern England along with central and southern parts. Expect top temperatures of 8 to 11 Celsius.

Tuesday
Overcast and misty this morning across the country with rain likely. It stays cloudy in to the afternoon with some drier periods mixed with sporadic outbreaks of rain here and there. This may be most persistent across eastern England and Northern Ireland. This may change but a very heavy pulse of rain may run in across Wales and north west England exacerbating the flooding situation. Expect top temperatures of 8 to 12 Celsius north to south.
