The rain could be heavy through north Wales and parts of northern England before clearing into East Anglia. Drier weather across southern Wales and southern England once the rain has cleared. Colder in Scotland, some showers in the north and west, these falling as snow on the hills. Sunshine elsewhere. Highs at 3 to 11C.

Clear skies over much of Scotland and northern England with a touch of frost here. Lows at 0C in northern England and Scotland, 5C in southern England.

Sunday

Drier and brighter although chilly across northern England and most of Scotland, perhaps with a few brighter spells here. More persistent rain in western Ireland, this edging northeast and reaching western Scotland later. Highs at 3 to 11C.
